This "Own a Trailer" update looks like another useless update IMO. This game is in need of a full blown new engine with more modern features that can use todays high-end graphics cards and processors. Please, no more DLC's of paint jobs, no more DLC that have no purpose to the game and are just there to be there.
I always save manually before taking a job. That way, if something goes wrong during that delivery, I reload my save without having to pay a penalty. If I have to quit playing during a delivery, I simply let the game auto save. I never manually save in the middle of a delivery. This does not work with WOT jobs.

Always buy your hired drivers the cheapest truck you can: it makes no difference to them. Never hire a driver without at least one distance skill. Try to get drivers with two. Drivers without one long distance skill will be stuck in the city, and they will only make one delivery per day. You will lose tons of money waiting for them to level up.

What I have done is to just purchace one TYPE of trailer for a particular Garage, based on the shippers in the area. Then, if a driver can find a load for it, they take just one trailer most of the time, and if no load is available, they pull a customers trailer ..
